SEMICON Japan is Japan’s flagship event for semiconductor and electronics innovation. Why choose SEMICON Japan when you could do SEMICON Korea, ISPE Singapore, or VLSI Japan? In this short read I’ll cover the key details to determine if it will be worthwhile.

Why it matters: Japan’s biggest Semiconductor event. Currently Japan is investing ¥3.9 trillion JPY ($26B USD) in 2025 into the semiconductor industry with new plants opening around Japan. With these government subsidies more companies are interested in investing in new semiconductor technology.

What separates semicon japan from other events

If you’re considering an Asian conference there are many options. We believe there are 3 factors that make Japan Semicon a good investment.

  • Cost – with the still weak yen there is a chance to have our basic level customized booth for as little as $25K USD, making it very reasonable to create a profitable return on investment.
  • Timing – This is the last major conference of the year, it can help push for a quick sale and set up a pipeline for 2026.
  • Volume of Attendees – Semicon Japan has nearly twice the attendance of Semicon Japan and with the price of around $1000/ticket it’s not a surprise ISPE Singapore has around 1,500 participants. he only larger expo in Asia is unsurprisingly Semicon China at ~160K attendees.

What you would need to exhibit

Here are some things we recommend to help you if you decide to come to Japan:

Large display clearly explaining the Product

If you are not a quickly recognized brand in the industry we recommend sharing more specifics either on your walls or with the product display, this will help attendees quickly know if your product is relevant to their needs.

Business Cards

In Japanese business exchanging cards is an important start to a meeting, and can help them understand who they are talking to and get email exchange for further conversations.

Information in Multiple Languages

If you’re like some of the event managers we work with they know Marriott’s better than their own bed. It’s challenging to get the marketing team to create any specific materials in a new market. We can help connect you with a translator or do simple translations for the main displays for you.
